In September, I set myself a 100 Days of Joy Photo Challenge. The intention was to focus on recognising the joy in the small everyday moments. By the time I reach the 100th day on December 9, 2024, I hope to have a deeper connection with those tiny bursts of happiness that we often overlook. These moments of joy are easy to recognise on a good day, however they can occur on a bad day. I know for me, that if I’m having a bad day, I tend to get bogged down in the details of the badness. These are the days that we really do need to recognise that there can be tiny sparks of joy even on a bad day. I have found that recognising the joy can turn that day around.
October has been a very good month. My knee which had been flaring up, was now almost pain free again, enabling me to walk for about an hour. I could do that twice each day, but not in one walk.
My partner has changed his work hours, and is now working 4 days each week. He’s now home with me for three days every week, meaning we are together for almost half of the week. There is much joy in that for me. We have been doing some great walks together on those days. Oscar has loved having our favourite walking buddy with us more often.
As this challenge is mainly a photo challenge there will be mostly photos and few words.

LOVE the brownie... I too think life is too short to give up all the good stuff all the time. As to joy and bad days I have read a book called "Focus on the 90%" by Darci Lang. It talks about seeing the 10% of our life that goes wrong while looking thru our 90% good stuff. It literally changed my life. I highly recommend it or at least her newsletter if you can't get your hands on her book.
Looks like a great month. Bernie
