I have jumped into the 100 Days of Joy Challenge, setting out to focus on finding and nurturing joy in the everyday moments. By the time I reach the 100th day on December 9, 2024, I hope to have a deeper connection with those little bursts of happiness we often overlook.
I will be doing this challenge as one photo each day, so there will be mostly photos and few words.
Week 3 was a busy week, mainly because we were going away for a few days the following week, and as usual, I wanted to get everything on my list done, before we headed off. Some of those things on my ‘to-do’ list had been there for weeks and some for months, but suddenly they had to be done before going away for a four day break. It’s almost as if I had it in my mind that we would not be coming back.
I do this at Christmas too. There’s always the mad rush to get everything done before Christmas Eve. It’s not like we have family or friends coming to stay for Christmas, as it’s usually just the two of us. Also until my retirement, I only had Christmas Day off work, and then it was on to a normal working week. Really, I’m not sure why my brain goes nuts when there’s a holiday coming up.
However, even in a busy week, I managed to recognise those things around me that spark joy in my life.

Love the family outing with the ducks they are adorable and certainly brought a smile to my face, as did the gorgeous yellow tulips. Thanks for sharing the joy, Jen. #TeamWWWhimsy
Hi Jennifer - the bushwalk, the ducklings, the flowers, the food - all of it really - gorgeous sparks of joy! It's always good to raise our awareness to these things that might otherwise not be acknowledged. Such a great idea. Thanks for linking up with #WWWhimsy - I look forward to your next lot of joy photos! xo
