Learned that ages ago when I was sucked into diet culture. NOT having treats in the house just makes the craving worse.. & something else I've found since becoming more mindful & not being able to eat big quantities is that the mouth need is filled about 2 mouthfuls in... we often don't pay enough attention to satiety ..
LOVE the brownie... I too think life is too short to give up all the good stuff all the time. As to joy and bad days I have read a book called "Focus on the 90%" by Darci Lang. It talks about seeing the 10% of our life that goes wrong while looking thru our 90% good stuff. It literally changed my life. I highly recommend it or at least her newsletter if you can't get your hands on her book.
Oh Jen, you made my afternoon with you joyful post. Apologies for the late reply to #WBOYC? but I'm here and I've enjoyed your post so much. I agree that whilst I want to be healthy, I also want to enjoy life and if that means a cake occasionally or even a glass of wine then so be it. Have a fabulous November and I look forward to reading more of your joyful posts. Sue L x
Once again, your photos cultivated joy in me Jennifer. In fact, your 100 days of joy inspired me to do my own 30 days of gratitude photos in October. So thank you for that. Happy November!
Jennifer, I’m tempted to follow your example and look for small amounts of joy each day. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by reading the bad news in the newspaper each morning and on television. We have to look for joy closer to home. I love the yarn bombing of the tram, so cheerful. Now, where’s my camera?
Beautiful pictures. Coffee cups are so cute. Do you buy them or do they come with a drink? Do they have cats? Love the double petunia. As for the chocolate, yes, life is too short!!
Lynda the coffee cups are disposable takeaway cups. It’s become a bit of a thing here to have them decorated, usually with patterns.i love the doggies but haven’t seen cats as yet
I too often try to give up sugar and come to the conclusion that life is too short to get rid of it completely! You have some really lovely photos. That double petunia is so pretty.
So lovely to see...and no to giving up things completely..they become more of a temptation then I think (dont ask me now I know)
JOY is a beautiful word.
EnJOY November

I have also found that if I ban treats altogether I become more tempted and crave them. It’s taken me until now to realise this.

So much made me smile too - but especially the ducklings, the doggy coffee cups and the yarn bombing.
Those are my favourites too Jo. Thanks for popping in.

Hi, Jennifer - I'm glad that your knee has been feeling better. Those cute little coffee cups definitely made me smile! <3
