I remember this book - the cover was so clever. I'd already given up sugar - I had PCOS and pre-diabetes and was advised to look into the impact of sugar so read David Gillespie's Sweet Poison. Sarah Wilson popularised it all for sure. The recipes look great.
I don't use a ton of sugar except in baking - which The Engineer eats daily. Tall and skinny he doesn't fuss about what he eats as he doesn't gain weight. I, on the other hand, love cookies but can't afford the calories. I might see if I can get this tru the library and try a couple of cookie recipes. I make many muffins that I have halved or quartered the sugar in and no one but me knows. My grandkids love my fruit muffins and they really are quite healty. As Kirstin said that salmon recipe looks great. Bernie
You sound very similar to me Bernie. My partner is a bean pole has no care at all what he eats. I keep him healthy by not telling him about the low sugar low fat changes I make. If you can’t find the book, google ‘Sarah Wilson I Quit Sugar’ and you should get a few of her recipes. Clicking on the images in the photos will also take you to the recipe. The salmon recipe is very very simple but very good,.
This book looks fantastic, Jen. I love the combination of good recipes and interesting photos. I have reduced substantially the amount of sugar I eat and was quite surprised that I didn't miss it more. I'm going to check out this cookbook for sure. Thanks for sharing it.
If you can't find the book Christie. Google 'Sarah Wilson I Quit Sugar' and you should get a few recipes. Over the years I've cut down the sugar in recipes and they still taste good. LIke you I didn't miss it at all. I'm sure there's no need to go without all together. Like everything, a little in moderation.

I remember reading Sweet Poison. I think that book made me take notice when Sarah started up.
Jennifer, The recipes all look really good. Thank you for your weekend coffee share.
Thanks, Jennifer - That salmon-slaw looks delicious. I just changed my dinner plan for tonight!
Hope you enjoy it Donna.
