Hi Jen, thanks for the recommendations. I'm keen to read the Whiskey Widow too as I like reading anything by Karen Brooks. I am also taking note of the #8 prompt as I haven't started on the seasons yet so will add this one in! You're going great on the challenge, I really must look into mine again.
I thought of you when I was reading Whiskey Widow as I remember you liked Karen Brooks. I'm sure you'll love it. I'm getting to the tricky end of the challenge now.
Hi Jen, thanks for your book reviews for this month. I've picked up a couple for the 52 week challenge from you. You are powering through. I will check out The Golden Thread and The Quest for Annie Moore for the prompts. The Whiskey Widow sounds just my kind of book - history, Scotland what more could you ask for. #WOYBS? Happy reading, Sue L x
Hi, Jennifer- Great selections here. I never read Little Women or Anne of Green Gables as a child, but read them both relatively recently. Why I had waited so long I'll never know!
Hi Jennifer, Thank you for your book recommendations and linking up with weekend coffee share. I'll check with my library for the Whisky Widow. I've read Ann Cleeves' The Raging Storm and several books by Linwood Barclay. Happy reading!
I still have Set in Autumn that needs to be read as well as Stream of Consciousness.. though I did try 2 books so far to cross that one off and I'm thinking I'm just not a fan of that style! Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm with that one.
Good luck with those two prompts Joanne. I'm struggling with them too. I just keep hoping that something I read fits the prompts. I have nothing planned for them.
I managed to grab the Chocolate Maker's Wife as it is available here in Canada but the new release one is not yet. I, as a Canadian, am so glad you enjoyed Anne of Green Gables! I am awaiting the final one in the series that I hadn't even been aware that she published. I am doing the 52 book challenge as well -- where did you find the "form" picture to put your books into? Bernie

The Chocolate Maker's Wife is really great. You can find the challenge graphics at the website. They're at the bottom of the page https://www.the52book.club/2025-reading-challenge/
