I need to do something about bone density (you know it's menopause and the loss of hormones...?) And if I never said it before, you should congratulate yourself on getting beck on your feet quite literally! That's a big deal. I am going to try that workout. #WHimmsy
It’s fantastic that your physio has worked so well and you were able to cancel the surgery. Congrats on the good news on your bone density, too. I am impressed by the multiple blogs that you manage. Thank you for linking up with #weekendcoffeeshare.
It sounds like you've had a very good year so far, Jen...especially where your health is concerned. It's amazing what you've been able to accomplish in avoiding surgery and improving your bone density with hard work. Go you!
What a great mid-year review with you kicking some goals, Jen. Good news re your bone density. I had a scan recently and although it showed Osteopenia it isn't too bad. I admire you for having three blogs, I just manage to get by with one! Here's to a happy and healthy second half of 2024. x
Yay for not only showing such marked improvement on your knee but also having an increase in your bone density! You are doing a great job taking care of your health.
Hi Jennifer, well I'm very glad you started this substack! I enjoy reading your posts. That's fabulous that your knee improved to the point that you no longer needed surgery! Also great that your bone density results have improved. You're obviously doing all the right things! A bone density test is one of the health check items I need to do. Thanks for linking up again with #WWWhimsy - enjoy the rest of your week and have a fantabulous weekend! xo
Hi, Jennifer - This is an excellent mid-year review. It's very impressive that your bone density has improved. How much calcium do you take per day? Is it by prescription or calcium that you can purchase yourself off the shelf?
This is a great update Jen and you're certainly doing well! I've not heard of anyone cancelling their knee surgery so that's a huge credit to you and your health professionals. I always enjoy reading your posts and pleased to hear you enjoy substack. I have it but I'm not that active on it as I seem to be stretched to the limit with what I already do!! I also enjoy Sue's group and seeing where everyone is walking and exercising. #wwwhimsy
Deb the 12week physio that I did was part of a Melb University Research study. They found that a high percentage of people who followed the program didn't require surgery by the end. Thanks for your lovely comments.

Thanks Lydia. Menopause and hormones are very difficult to deal with

Thanks Sue. I think at our age there is always going to be at least a little Osteo present in our bodies. One of the joys of getting older

Thanks Joanne. I’m realising that it’s a necessity these days

Donna, I just get over the counter calcium and take 2 x 600mg daily. I was very surprised at the calcium increase

You've done well with your goals. I'm loving the little FB group Sue has started.
Thaks Joanne. The FB group is great, and very motivating
Thanks Denyse. I did think retirement would be a nightmare. It’s a happy surprise to find that it’s far from it
