I'm smiling reading your post, Jen as you certainly had an uplifting April. I'm so happy that your knee has improved and there won't be any stopping you now. I'm impressed with your AtoZ challenge you really are committed to that each year. The rose is stunning and I also love the new Sunday morning tradition you've started with your partner. Thanks so much for sharing at #WBOYC? and have a lovely May x
I miss being able to grow roses and cottage garden plants. Heavy sighs. SO happy to hear your knee is improved enough for you to begin cycling again. Heading over to check out your one place posts.
What a great month you've had Jen and it certainly sounds like you're settling into your retirement. The bike will be great for you and being so close to the rail trail is a bonus. I love riding along on our rail trail without a care in the world so I know you'll love it too! All the best for May, you're really doing well!
Thanks Joanne. I'm very old fashioned with my food, and do love a meal of fish and chips, though only have it when at a pub, as I don't like cooking fish.
You've had a great April and seem to be settling in well to retirement. Keeping work friends is really hard so I hope this works out. I only managed to keep about 4 and 1 of them moved 16 hours away so we phone and visit occasionally. Gardens are always a work in progress! I hope that you enjoy your new bike and am so glad that your knee is coming around. I have given myself a set amt of km to hit in the 6 months we can bike here so we shall see how that goes. Bernie

Thanks for your lovely comments again Deb, and for your support. I do love the rail trail, and can't get enough of it, now that I'm pedalling again.
That fish and chip meal looks fabulous-- as do your roses! So glad that you got to catch up with some friends and get back to biking too this month.
