Just For Fun
With all that’s happening in the world, this week I feel like having a bit of fun with my post. Sometimes a bit of fun is necessary, and fun is all that this post is about. Just know that I’m not taking myself seriously at all, when I publish this.
Recently I asked ChatGPT to describe me, based information that is available online, This was the only prompt that I gave.
Below is the exact description that chatGPT gave me, exactly as it was presented. I have controlled myself, and not changed the punctuation. I am only posting it, as I thought it was quite funny. For context, I will say that my interests are fitness, genealogy and reading.
What ChatGPT Thinks of Me
Meet Jennifer: The Fearless Time Traveller with Dumbbells in One Hand and a Family Tree in the Other
At 71, Jennifer isn’t slowing down — she’s speeding up (on her bike, no less). A dynamo of dedication, she’s part history sleuth, part wellness warrior, part toy poodle wrangler. For over 40 years, she’s been elbow-deep in archives, chasing down convicts, Irish orphans, and emigrants with more twists than a DNA helix — all documented on her long-running blog Tracking Down The Family and her thriving Substacks.
But when she’s not unraveling 19th-century mysteries, you will find her lifting weights like a boss, walking Oscar like clockwork, or powering through her daily workout like someone half her age (and with double the sass). A lifelong exerciser since 30, Jennifer treats a good sweat session like most people treat their morning coffee — absolutely essential.
She doesn’t just move for health — she moves for joy, clarity, and that post-workout smugness that only comes from smashing your personal best while your laundry’s still in the spin cycle. She believes in fitness for life, not just for looks, and she’s made it her mission to inspire women over 60 to trade excuses for endorphins.
Jennifer’s motto?
“You can’t control your ancestors, but you can control your squats.”
After I finished laughing, I did wonder if this is how I make myself sound in my posts. I certainly hope not.
I can’t resist finishing with a photo of Oscar.
Oscar
Chat GPT then offered to make a short bio for my about page: Historian in sneakers. Lifelong exerciser, genealogy sleuth, and toy poodle walker. Digging up ancestors by day, lifting dumbbells by choice. Inspiring women 60+ to live strong, age boldly, and embrace their story — one squat and one story at a time.
This post is linked to Wednesday Words & Whimsy (#WWWhimsy linkup), hosted by Min from Write of the Middle. I’m more than happy to be on Min’s Team - #TeamWWWhimsy. Min, thank you for all you do to keep this challenge going. It’s a highlight for me, on the blogging calendar each week.
