I have been on Substack for just on six months, and have been very happy here. I came to Substack when my blogger friend Denyse started her newsletter. After a look around the site, and noticing how simple the interface was, I decided to join in the fun. At the time, my lifestyle blog was in a slump and I hadn’t posted for about a month. As soon as I arrived here, my enthusiasm was sparked and I haven’t looked back.
A few days ago, Substack surprised me by providing me with the following stats. I do love stats so couldn’t resist sharing them.
Highlights
☕ I read the most in the afternoon
💌 I subscribed to 22 new Substacks
🎧 I listened to 23 minutes of podcasts
📽️ I watched 469 minutes of video
❤️ I liked 5 posts
💬 I left 164 comments on posts
📜 I scrolled 210 meters in Notes

Top Substacks
I am very happy, and not surprised to see my blogger friend Denyse in my list of top substacks. The other two in my top Substack list - Projectkin and GenealCym are genealogy contacts. Since settling in here I now have two substacks, with the other being genealogy.
The thing that most surprises me with my stats is how little interaction I have done. I really thought there would have been more. However, since starting my genealogy Substack, I tend to spend more time there.
There are many amazing midlife and older age Substacks, so after the wake up call, I plan to track them down and subscribe more often.

Oh wow! Thanks so much Jennifer to your kind words & sharing. I'm delighted to have made the change to Substack!
Thanks, Jennifer- it's not just your site but other substack sites as well. It has been better recently, so fingers crossed!
